2018 SFFILM Festival and Sorry to Bother You (Video)

This year's centerpiece film at the 2018 SFFilm Festival comes from Boots Riley, an Oakland native who studied film at San Francisco State University and co-founded the hip-hop group The Coup. Riley's directorial debut, Sorry to Bother You, is set in Oakland and takes on race, humor and capitalism through the eyes of an African-American telemarketer.
